Zillow

Somebody sent me this link at work and I thought it was pretty cool. www.zillow.com
It’s a site where you can put in your address and get a value for your home. It turns out that I’ve done pretty good in the real estate business without even trying and despite Mother Nature. My house in Florida is worth much more than I paid for it. But not near as much as the house where one of my friends from high school lives. What’s even more surprising is that the house in NJ where I grew up is worth less than my house in Florida. How did THAT happen? I thought real estate in NJ was supposed to be even more insane than real estate in FL.Anyway, I guess I’m a real estate tycoon of sorts. At least until next hurricane season. :)

How did it happen that our Ackerman Avenue house is worth less than your house in Florida? Are you kidding? Do you not remember the house on Ackerman Avenue? Where you lived in an unfinished attic with the squirrels? Where your own brother was electrocuted (not fatally, but he did have holes in his hand to prove it) by the ceiling fan. Where we never saw the front door in all the years we lived in the house because of the shrubbery?
I also question your assertion that you “grew up” there. I question the assertion that you “grew up” period. But then again, I’m your sister.

P.S. - Who do you know from high school who lives in LA? And did I tell you that I had a visit last weekend from Matty’s sister and her family and that Matty has 3 kids? I wonder what his house is worth.

Who do I know who lives in L.A.? Perhaps some hot shot Hollywood TV writer/producer….
