I’ve had a blog called Eggshells & Oddities since the early 90’s. The first one was hosted on a freenet called CCIL.org. Somewhere in the mid 90’s I got my own domain name, lizardfoot.com, and built my own blog using ASP and an MS Access database. A couple of years ago, I decided that LAMP technology was the way to go and rolled out a new home grown blog using PHP and MySQL.
Now I think it’s time to let someone else write my blogging software for me. So I chose Wordpress for it’s ease of installation and extensibility. Maybe this new blog will inspire new thoughts and ramblings. Maybe it will be kept on the back shelf and forgotten like my previous blogs. Who knows?
